Gucci's history can be told as two parts. Before Alessandro Michele and after Alessandro Michele. This tells how much Alessandro Michele, who has been Gucci's creative director less than 2 years, is influential in the fashion industry. It's hard to say that it's the same brand when compared to Frida Giannini's Gucci. Fashion in the 70's, clothes we can see in our mother's closets, embroidery and patches various in colors. The Maximalism shown in Michele's collection drag people's attention.
Michele is incredible because not only did he transform the image of Gucci, but for several other reasons. He made people to be interested in fashion, to be enthusiastic over the apparels shown on the runway. He has made Gucci into a brand that is in favor of the people, and that he is doing perfect at increasing sales, which is a fashion designer's job that the company ultimately pursuits.
As one of the luxury brands, Gucci mostly keeps the prices high, but by adding relatively-low-price items to here Gucci is able to increase it's profit more efficiently. The representative would be 'Gucci T-shirts'.
Interestingly, this item is far from the vintage of the 70's shown on Michele's Gucci. Without any snakes or bees that Michele likes to use, only the original Gucci logo is printed on the t-shirt. He designed it with the red&green Gucci web and it's logo, not adding the vintage of the 70's. Gucci t-shirt somehow looks like a counterfeit, but with the uniqueness of Gucci's logo, the t-shirt looks good on any style. Most importantly, why would the luxury brands always be obsessed with it's logos?Because people are fanatical about them and are willing to buy.
